Senior Management

  • Jon Rye
    Chairman
    Jonathan P. Rye is the chairman and founder of Greenfield Partners and Greenfield Commercial Credit LLC.

    Prior to Greenfield Commercial Credit LLC. Mr. Rye was the Chairman and Founder of Camtron Coatings,  the Chairman of Lapeer Metal Products a metal stamping and assembly company, the Chairman of Sentry Medical Products, the Chairman, President and CEO of Lamb Technicon,  the Chairman of Ransohoff Systems, the Chairman of Braun Engineering, the Chairman and Founder of Structural Kinematics, and the Chairman and Founder of the Mictron Corporation, and Septor Electronics Company.

    Mr. Rye has also been involved with various philanthropic ventures. He was instrumental in creating Focus Hope, a nationally recognized civil and human rights organization in Detroit. Jonathan also assisted in providing startup funding for Lighthouse Path, and has been involved with the University of Michigan scleroderma research projects as a donor and fund raiser.

    Mr. Rye received his BA in Economics from the University of Michigan in 1978 and his MBA from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business in 1980.
  • Ed Lewan
    President
    Ed Lewan brings over 25 years of commercial lending experience to Greenfield Commercial Credit.  Since 2000 Mr. Lewan has been engaged in various lending, underwriting, and business development capacities with Greenfield Commercial Credit leading to his current position as Managing Director Sales and Credit.

    Mr. Lewan started his lending career in 1985 with Ford Motor Credit before spending 13 years at Michigan National Bank where he received his formal credit training and rose to the position of Vice President.  During his career at MNB he worked in middle market, floor plan and asset based lending. He also spent over a year as Vice President in Corporate Banking at Huntington National Bank before joining Greenfield.

    Mr. Lewan has a BBA from Wayne State University and an MSF from Walsh College. He is a member of the TMA, CFA, IFA, and NFA.  Ed enjoys spending time with his family, watching the Detroit Tigers and playing golf.
  • Gary Greve
    Managing Director - CFO
    Gary Greve brings over 40 years of accounting and financial experience to Greenfield Commercial Credit (GCC).  Since 1996, Mr. Greve has been engaged in various capacities with GCC and has been their CFO since 1999.

    In addition, Mr. Greve is the CFO for Greenfield Partners, Inc. and Senex Financial Corp, affiliates of GCC. Mr. Greve started his career with Price Waterhouse in Detroit, and became a CPA with primary focus in the banking and services industries. From 1980 until 1995, he held several positions at a national architectural/engineering firm in Detroit. In his last position, Mr. Greve was treasurer/CFO and oversaw the operations of approximately 6 entities around the country.

    Mr. Greve was recently recognized by Corp! Magazine as one of Michigan’s top executives in driving innovation, bringing business to Michigan and generally making business happen.

    Mr. Greve has a BBA from the University of Notre Dame. He is also a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Gary enjoys traveling with his wife and playing with his five grandchildren.
  • Dave Vigna
    Managing Director - Legal Counsel
    Dave has been a practicing attorney for 30 years, and has been Greenfield’s in-house counsel since 2002.  Dave personally handles the majority of the legal aspects of loan documentation and closings, and manages outside counsel when he determines the need for outside assistance, either for loan closings or other legal matters.  Prior to joining Greenfield he worked in the legal departments of two major area banks, where he provided commercial loan counseling and transactional assistance and handled plaintiff and defense litigation  at the trial and appellate levels, up to and including the Michigan Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals.  He was the lead attorney in several reported appellate decisions in the field of commercial law through the state and federal judicial systems.
  • Irina Petcu
    Managing Director - Operations
    Ms. Irina Petcu is responsible for overseeing the management of the GCC loan portfolio along with management and monitoring of her own portfolio of loans. She graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Michigan, where she is currently acquiring her MBA. She plans to become a CFA charterholder after graduation. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends. Ms. Petcu drives for continuous improvement both on a professional and personal level.
  • Ben Rye
    Director
    Benjamin Rye is an active Board member of Greenfield Commercial Credit, Senex Services, and Greenfield Partners. He holds a BBA with distinction from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Portfolio Managers

  • Stefania Odolean
    Portfolio Manager
    Stefania Odolean is a Portfolio Manager at GCC and is responsible for managing, evaluating, and monitoring her portfolio while providing a high level of customer service.  Ms. Odolean holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Wayne State University and a Master of Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting and Finance with Institutional Honors.   She is a current member of The Institute of Internal Auditors and Financial Services Auditor Group. Ms. Odolean’s goals for the near future are to pass the CPA exam, improve at tennis, and travel.
  • Joe Cox
    Portfolio Manager
    Joe Cox is a Portfolio Manager at Greenfield Credit and is responsible for the management and accuracy of asset based financing facilities up to $5,000,000.  Mr. Cox holds a BBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Outside of work, he is an avid golfer and sports enthusiast.
  • Erin Rea
    Portfolio Manager
    Erin Rea is a portfolio manager at GCC and is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of Asset Based loans for the company. Ms. Rea holds a BBA from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business. She grew up in Traverse City, MI and enjoys playing soccer and reading outside of work.

Sales

  • Michael Gallagher
    Regional Sales Manager, Chicago & Midwest Regional Office
    Michael Gallagher is one of Greenfield Commercial Credit’s Regional Sales Managers, responsible for the Midwest Region.  Michael joined Greenfield back in October 2004.  Prior to Greenfield, Michael spent twelve years working for Summit Financial Resources and Oxford Capital Corporation, both asset based lenders.  Mr. Gallagher has also worked in banking and equipment leasing prior to joining the Greenfield team. Michael has a BA from University of Pittsburgh (1984) and a MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management (1994).  Michael is based in Chicago and is an active member of the Commercial Finance Association and the Turnaround Management Association. 
  • Chris Mitchell
    Regional Sales Manager, Atlanta & Southeast Regional Office
    Chris Mitchell is based in Atlanta, Georgia and is responsible for portfolio development in the Southeastern US. Mr. Mitchell has over 20 years experience in the Asset Based Financing and Factoring industry. He joined a small independent Accounts Receivable financing group in 1991 where he was a District Manager responsible for portfolio development, underwriting, and new loan implementation in Georgia. In 1996 he started an Atlanta office for a national Asset Based lending firm where he was responsible for new loan origination. He has held additional positions with a specialty bank and ABL and factoring firms.  He works extensively bankers, workout departments, investment banks, brokers, and others to provide appropriate financing solutions for businesses with annual revenues up to $50 million.  

    He is an active member of The Commercial Finance Association, National Funding Association, Turnaround Management Association, and various other trade associations. Mr. Mitchell graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance in 1988.
  • Rene Parra
    Regional Sales Manager, Houston & Southwest Regional Office
    Rene Parra is the newest member of Greenfield Commercial Credit’s Regional Sales Managers responsible for the Southwest Region. Based out of Houston, Texas, Mr.Parra will be primarily responsible for the Texas market. Mr.Parra has been in the Houston market for nine years, most recently as Vice President of Business Development for First Capital where he opened the Houston office. Prior to working for First Capital, Mr. Parra worked at Frost Capital Group where he led their marketing and business development.

    He is an active member of The Commercial Finance Association Houston Chapter where he serves on the Advisory Board for 2011. He is also active in the Turnaround Management Association, Association for Capital Growth, and various other trade associations. Mr. Parra graduated from the University of Houston where he earned a BBA in Marketing. Mr. Parra is also fluent in both English and Spanish.

Office Staff

  • Darlene Goy
    Controller
    Darlene Goy has been with Greenfield for over seven years and is currently the Corporate Controller reporting to the CFO.  She is responsible for all of the accounting and financial functions in support of the loan and collection activities.  Her duties also include cash management, bank relations, and account reconciliation.  When Darlene is away from work, she spends her free time with family and friends and enjoys tennis, reading and biking.
  • Sue Jones
    Loan Coordinator
    Sue is Greenfield’s Loan Coordinator and has been with the company for 7 years.  She begins assembling needed information early in the pre-loan investigative stage.  After a loan is approved, Sue assists the closing attorney with all documentation needed to close the loan.  After closing, Sue then assists the Portfolio Managers in the administration of the loan. Outside of work, Sue enjoys reading and spending time with her family playing cards or just relaxing watching a movie.
  • Marilyn Zyla
    Loan Coordinator
    Marilyn has been with Greenfield Commercial Credit since its inception in 1995 and has worked with Greenfield Commercial Credit President, Jonathan P. Rye, since 1989.  She is currently the Office Manager and personal assistant to Jonathan Rye.  She handles all aspects of maintaining the office, including ordering supplies, repairs to equipment, working with staff members, acting as liaison between staff and our health care provider and HSA benefit company.  She also works with our CFO, Gary Greve, by inputting invoices and then paying those invoices weekly.  When not working, she enjoys reading, doing crafts, watching old movies and being with family and friends.
  • Bryan Kreger
    Chief Auditor
    Bryan Kreger has been a member of the Greenfield Commercial Credit team since 1996.  He has extensive experience in commercial asset based lending ranging from account analyst to his current position as field examiner.  He has audited and is familiar with companies operating in a variety of industries; from service-oriented companies, wholesale distributors to manufacturing and industrial.  He has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Oakland University.  When he is not working, he enjoys mountain bike riding and racing, and camping with his family.  He is also active and volunteers at his children’s school.
